Centralized, compliance-driven privacy management
Challenge & Solution
CDA – Consorzio Distributori Alimentari needed to adopt a structured and compliant system for privacy management, capable of ensuring compliance with current regulations, improving the security of personal data, and simplifying collaboration between internal and external stakeholders. In a complex operational context, it was essential to have effective tools to centrally manage privacy requirements and ensure constant oversight. To address these needs, a dedicated software platform for privacy management was introduced, supported by a specialized consultancy service and the appointment of an external Data Protection Officer. This approach made it possible to centralize document management, update procedures in line with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, and strengthen organizational governance in the field of data protection.
Our Process
We implemented Privacy Manager, a software solution dedicated to privacy management, capable of efficiently monitoring all processes related to the processing of personal data and facilitating compliance with regulatory obligations. At the same time, a consultancy program was launched to adapt and comprehensively review the company’s privacy documentation, accompanied by training sessions for staff. In addition, the appointment of the Data Protection Officer (DPO) was formalized through the official platform of the Data Protection Authority. The DPO has taken an active role in overseeing corporate compliance, managing the updating of processing records, validating produced documentation, and providing ongoing support to company representatives.
Result Driven
The integration of the Privacy Manager software enabled CDA to optimize the management of personal data, improving operational efficiency and ensuring constant compliance monitoring. Specialized consultancy made it possible to fully review privacy processes, increasing the awareness and preparedness of internal staff. With the appointment of an external DPO, CDA was able to rely on an independent and qualified resource, capable of ensuring continuous oversight free from conflicts of interest. The result is a stronger, more transparent privacy system aligned with industry best practices.
